My intent was to visually communicate the elegance of playing cards; from the visual design of a deck to the intricate skill and natural whit it takes to be good at playing cards. I wanted to focus on the stitching details of each individual element. The red suits are double layered with two tones of red felt with a couched border of red yarn and gold thread.
